RETURNS AND REFUNDS

If goods are delivered with clear damages to the packaging or its contents, please immediately inform the delivery service and refuse to take delivery of the package. Please then contact SYOU via email at customerservice@syou.com.
We hand-check all our shoes before dispatch, however, if there is a problem with the product, or you’re not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you can request a refund.

If the item ordered is not the right size, you can also exchange it for another size.

In both cases please send the product back to the nearest SYOU address within 10 days of reception. Please contact us via email at customerservice@syou.com before sending it, you will get a reference number. All products must be packed in their original packaging complete with all original accessories that were included. We recommend to wrap the box, and when you write the reference number and address you can't damage the box.

Provided the product arrives in its original, unworn condition, we are happy to refund the full purchase amount within 30 days of receiving it.

Please note that return costs will be at your expense and the products are your responsibility until they reach us.

To cancel the contract or return the product, please contact our customer service how to proceed. Depending on where you are located, our customer service team will give you the exact next steps on how to proceed with your return.

Please note: The purchaser is liable for return postage to the SYOU warehouse. When exchanging a product for another size, SYOU will pay for the shipping for the new order to be dispatched. Packages with insufficient postage arriving at the SYOU warehouse will not be accepted.
You will receive an email from our customer service confirming we have received your return. Once your return has been received and inspected by our returns department, you will get an email confirming that a refund will be issued.

PAYMENT METHODS

All major payment methods are accepted in our webshop. In Colombia you can pay through the PayU Latam platform (eg. Visa, Maestro). In the rest of the world we accept credit cards (eg. Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Maestro) and PayPal. In the Netherlands we also accept Ideal and Klarna.
You cannot split your payment between multiple credit cards or debit cards.
We don’t sell gift cards at the moment, but watch this space as we may well introduce this option in the near future.

SHIPPING

As from now we are shipping to over 100 countries worldwide. In Colombia we use Thomas Express and Deprisa. For the rest of the World we also rely on trustworthy delivery services, we choose the best option depending on the country.
For certain countries the shipping fee is included in the price of your order and for other countries we charge an additional shipping fee. All of these costs are automatically calculated when the shipping address is provided when you order on our webshop.

ORDERS

Orders can be placed any time - 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We can only accept and fulfill the order if the delivery address is a home or office address in one of the countries that we ship to.
Once we have received your order, you will receive an automated confirmation email sent to the email address you supplied in the ordering process. This email will contain all the details of your purchase. The purchase agreement has now been completed. As soon as the order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number.
Your shoes will be delivered to your doorstep as soon as possible. In Colombia it will take 1 to 3 working days, in the Benelux 1 to 2 working days, in the USA approximately 1 week, and in the rest of the World it depends on the country.

All products on the website are locally produced by Colombian manufacturers. After this they are shipped all over the world to tell their story. Local production sometimes comes with challenges with respect to production dates and times.

To help ensure a smooth delivery, we may ask you to confirm the order details, which may result in a slight delay to the order being shipped. The above-mentioned delivery times are an indication and are not written in stone. The purchaser has the right to cancel without charge any order not delivered within 30 working days. SYOU accepts no liability for delays caused by the delivery service.
Once we have received your order, you will receive an automated confirmation email sent to the email address you supplied in the ordering process. This email will contain all the details of your purchase. The purchase agreement has now been completed. As soon as the order is shipped you will receive a tracking number for your package. We will also keep you updated on the status of your order the best we can.
Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number.

PRODUCT INFO

You probably already know your shoe size, although it may often seem like each brand makes up its own sizing chart. Here at SYOU, we try to make sure our sneakers run true to size, so if you are a European size 41, you will need a SYOU size 41. Before you order your pair, you can check in the webshop what size fits you best. The best way to do this is to measure your foot in cm or inches and choose the size that matches that information. If it turns out the size is not correct after all, you can always return your order and we will send you a new pair free of charge.

As for the SYOU bag, it’s a different story: it’s one size fits all. Women, men, young, old, long hair, short hair - you all take the same size.

Using a damp cloth, rub your SYOUs gently with lukewarm water and mild soap. Do not machine wash or dry.

Before cleaning, we advise that you first test a section of the sneaker that is not visible, such as the outer edges of the tongue. This is to ensure that the mild soap used does not affect the color or material.

At SYOU we emphasize inspiring stories and look for opportunities and possibilities everywhere we go. We know we can’t change the world by ourselves, but, by applying the co-design principle to the very core of what we do, we’re trying to contribute in our own way, by doing what we believe in.
Every pair of SYOU sneakers is 100% locally produced: using locally sourced materials, we work in collaboration with local talent on the ground – from copywriters to visual artists – to create SYOU sneakers and the entire story around the product and country.
Pronounced “shoe,” the SYOU logo includes the ampersand symbol: SYOU&. The logo is always connected to the &, just like SYOU is always connected to the local community. SYOU is about co-design and collaborating and this is symbolized by the inclusion of & in our logo. We are only one half of the story – the talents that work with us in each country make up the other half. SYOU would not exist without the &: we would not exist without the local talent that we work with. The letter O of SYOU is filled in, like an open tunnel or an eye through which you can see a different world. This is in line with the ISEEYOU concept: we are looking to the future, and see talent and opportunities all over the world.
We are a growing gang that thinks and acts globally, collaborating with people from all around the world. The team on the ground is always made up of a mix of international and local talent.
We have embarked on a global journey to discover fresh creative talent in new places and it is thanks to these creative talents that SYOU exists. Our first stop was Burkina Faso, and now we’re working in Colombia. Here, we conducted an open national talent call where we had 8,000 entries. Twenty-nine of them where short-listed to attend the Creative Talent Conference held in Medellín in April. After two full days of immersion in the urban jungle of Medellin, five artists created a winning proposal showing their interpretation of how Colombia should be showcased. Since then, they have been co-designing the new collection that we launched at Colombiamoda in July. However, the process of co-creation has involved many, MANY more people.
We set ourselves three goals: to create a challenging new sneaker brand, to contribute to the positive image of a country and to make this an exciting and enjoyable ride for everyone involved. And, we’re happy to say we’re already well on the way to achieving all three.
Next up might be Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Ghana, Cambodia or The Philippines. The opportunities are limitless. We are forever surprised and humbled by the depth and breadth of talent around the world and these are just the first steps on a worldwide expedition of discovery.
SYOU stands out against most of the sneaker industry through the genuine, unique and positive nature of its story. Unlike the global sneaker giants – who, for the most part, have their factories located in Asian countries where they can produce as cheaply as possible - we produce sneakers locally and ethically. Our sales are made via our online platform and some pop up stores, so the margin is not lost to middlemen. SYOU fills the gap between the big corporations and the do-good initiatives. Where the latter are centered on being eco-friendly and are aid-focused, we are about equal collaboration and co-creation. We believe in trade not aid. We support a social economic movement. SYOU is a vehicle to tell a positive, inspiring story about a country.
The latest range of SYOU sneakers is 100% made in Colombia from 100% Colombian materials: the rubber soles are made in Medellin, the upper is made from Colombian canvas. Inspiration lies inside each SYOU sneaker, with a poem penned by Juanita Olivera from Bogotá written on the insole. Creation doesn’t stop at our sneakers - even the SYOU box has been co-designed, with José Argotty from Pasto creating the box for our Colombia collection. Every pair of SYOU sneakers also comes complete with an organic cotton bag, handmade in Colombia. At SYOU, we strive to create a great quality product.
Yes. Our shoes are locally made and, while they might not be flawless, they carry the stamps of a small production run and have been created with energy and love. We’re not perfect – and neither are our shoes - but we’re getting there, one step at a time...
